Cheesy list combos for 6th: who can think of the best

So more confirmation on the allies rumors are coming in. From what we know now all you need to take is an hq and two troops from your main book and then, as long as you take one hq and one troop choice from the allied book, you can take as many chpoices from the other book as you want.....

ZING! let the cheesey combos begin!

So lets get to the fun. add in comments of what you think the next cheesey allied list will be...I expect most tournaments to ban allies...come on its seriously unfair.

Main Book, Codex Space Marines

HQ
1. Shrike
Elites
1. x10 Assault terminators
2. x10 Assault terminators
Troops
1. 5 man tac squad, TL las razorback
2. 5 man tac squad, TL las razorback

Allied book
HQ
1. Coteaz
Troop/s
1. Henchman, x7 DC assasins, x3 crusaders
Heavy
1. Psyfleman dread
2. Psyfleman dread
3. Psyfleman dread

Now I know the henchmen wont get fleet but who cares, I can now have psyflemans in any space marine list I want! Fleeting assault terminators backed up with GK cheez madness. If the asssault rumors are true that consolidating back into combat are true this list will horribley destroy opponents

So any other great combos? Mabye even tau broadsides with marines. Or eldrad with blood angels. lol the possibilities are endless!

  1. I'm definitely chomping at the bit to start running Farseers with my Battle-Wagon Orks. Nothing says awesome like a Fortuned-KFF, or a Doomed squad assault by 30 Orks... or Guided Lootaz.

    1. Also, look at it this way, the cries of Cheese will stop when everyone can run Psybolt Dreads. :)

    4. all the Eldar psychic powers specify that they only benefit Eldar units.

But really this whole blog post is the silliest bit of speculation I have seen regarding 6th... you literally no none of the specifics of how this will work...

  2. 5 Daemon Prince Lists for Chaos. Quintuple Lash anyone? oh plus a Greater Daemon until the new dex comes out. 5d3 +1(+2 if the WD is to be believed) auto hit flyover attacks at str 6 per turn. Oh yeah plus 8" average Charge range and 24" Movement.
SO flyover 24" Lash for 8" on average. assault 8" on average=40" average threat range with no gun. Not too shabby. 'GET OVER HERE!'

  4. Sanguinary Priest + BLOB Guard then?

Hell, just the fact that any Imperial army can get access to St. Celestine?

  5. This is one of the worst rumors I have heard. If this is allowed for all 40K games, you can kiss any thought of ever having balance in 6th Ed. I know there was never much balance to start with, however this is simply horrible and should remain only in doubles matches. I will wait and see what the actual rules look like before I begin my rage quit...but I may not be playing much 6th Ed. If this pans out to be true.

  8. The rumours all seem to state that you only get one FOC slot for each type, so 2 dreads wouldn't be possible.

Its a great rule and it'll lead to a lot of fun, fluffy armys and interesting combos, anything that adds more variety to the game is going to make it more fun.

  9. Ok, bear with me here. I am coming around to liking the allies. Why? Well I was initially looking art this from a tournie mindset, in which case it IS a bad idea and is looking to be banned by a few tournies. However, when ilook at it from the perspective that some of my favorite games in the last two editions have been apocolypse games, the allies and other rules rashly seem fun. I think that unbalanced or not, this at least will be a fun edition for beer and pretzels, which is what I have been reverting to for the last year our so anyway. So I take back my earlier criticism as tournies will likley ban allies in the beginning, and say bring on the allies.
